# e vs Private Internet

The clearest difference is update cadence: e at every 9 days against Private Internet's monthly. Private Internet's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

e ships an update every 9 days, Private Internet monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
