# Tone Scan vs Decent Sampler

The clearest difference is rating: Decent Sampler at 4.6 against Tone Scan's 3.2. Decent Sampler also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (53 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tone Scan sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Decent Sampler sells 60 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Decent Sampler holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.2.
