# hiDashCam vs Z

The clearest difference is update cadence: Z at every 2 weeks against hiDashCam's every 3 months. Z also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

hiDashCam ships an update every 3 months, Z every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
