# Grow & Learn vs SmartTeach

The clearest difference is rating: SmartTeach at 4.8 against Grow & Learn's 3.0. SmartTeach also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 57). Grow & Learn's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and review sentiment (35% vs 24%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmartTeach holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartTeach has 1.2K ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Grow & Learn's written reviews are positive against 24% of SmartTeach's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Grow & Learn ships an update every 2 weeks, SmartTeach monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
