# ChildPilot Staff vs PRO Software

The clearest difference is rating: ChildPilot Staff at 4.6 against PRO Software's 2.5. PRO Software's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 33%) and ratings volume (45 vs 14). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ChildPilot Staff holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 45 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of ChildPilot Staff's written reviews are positive against 44% of PRO Software's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ChildPilot Staff ships an update every 2 weeks, PRO Software every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
