# College Checklist vs Common App

The clearest difference is rating: College Checklist at 4.0 against Common App's 3.0. College Checklist also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). Common App's advantage is ratings volume (676 vs 1) and chart position (#42 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

College Checklist holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Common App has 676 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
