# Char vs Alpaca Peruvian Chicken

The clearest difference is rating: Alpaca Peruvian Chicken at 4.0 against Char's 1.0. Alpaca Peruvian Chicken also leads on ratings volume (188 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). Char's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 30%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alpaca Peruvian Chicken holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alpaca Peruvian Chicken has 188 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Char's written reviews are positive against 30% of Alpaca Peruvian Chicken's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Char ships an update every 5 months, Alpaca Peruvian Chicken every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
