# Random vs WheelU

Random and WheelU both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of WheelU's written reviews are positive against 56% of Random's. WheelU also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Random's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 31 months) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 251). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Random sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and WheelU sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Random against 4.6 for WheelU. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Random has 2.8K ratings behind it against 251, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Random's written reviews are positive against 88% of WheelU's.

Random ships an update every 3 weeks, WheelU every 31 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
