# Random vs Raffle Name

The clearest difference is monetization model: Random at freemium against Raffle Name's subscription. Raffle Name's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Random sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Raffle Name sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Raffle Name holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.8K and 5.6K respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of Random's written reviews are positive against 57% of Raffle Name's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
