# Random vs Gift Xchanger

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Gift Xchanger at 100% against Random's 56%. Gift Xchanger also leads on ads (none vs shown). Random's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.4) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 77 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Random sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Gift Xchanger sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Random holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Random has 2.8K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Random's written reviews are positive against 100% of Gift Xchanger's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Random ships an update every 3 weeks, Gift Xchanger every 77 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
