# Random vs Closet Reset

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Closet Reset at 100% against Random's 56%. Closet Reset also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Random's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Random sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Closet Reset sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Closet Reset holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Random has 2.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of Random's written reviews are positive against 100% of Closet Reset's.

Random ships an update every 3 weeks, Closet Reset every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
