# Memo vs FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer

The clearest difference is ads: FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer at none against Memo's shown. FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer also leads on ratings volume (7.9K vs 1) and device support (5 vs 3). Memo's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Memo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer has 7.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Memo's written reviews are positive against 89% of FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Memo ships an update every 5 days, FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
