# Super Memo vs GitMind

The clearest difference is rating: Super Memo at 5.0 against GitMind's 3.6. Super Memo also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). GitMind's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Super Memo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and GitMind sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Super Memo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GitMind has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Super Memo's written reviews are positive against 77% of GitMind's.

Super Memo ships an update every 5 days, GitMind fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
