# GOTL vs Dark Frequency

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dark Frequency at 100% against GOTL's 43%. Dark Frequency also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.3) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks). GOTL's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GOTL sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Dark Frequency sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dark Frequency holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GOTL has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of GOTL's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dark Frequency's.

GOTL ships an update every 5 weeks, Dark Frequency every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
