# Montezuma's Blast vs Match Jam 3D

The clearest difference is rating: Match Jam 3D at 4.9 against Montezuma's Blast's 4.4. Match Jam 3D also leads on ratings volume (19K vs 56). Montezuma's Blast's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (60% vs 47%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Montezuma's Blast sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Match Jam 3D sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Match Jam 3D holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Match Jam 3D has 19K ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Montezuma's Blast's written reviews are positive against 47% of Match Jam 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
