# Diarium Journal vs Scratch Lists

The clearest difference is update cadence: Diarium Journal at fortnightly against Scratch Lists's every 4 months. Scratch Lists's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diarium Journal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Scratch Lists sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Diarium Journal ships an update fortnightly, Scratch Lists every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
