Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: AQeye at 4.7 against MoveMap's 4.0. AQeye also leads on ratings volume (38 vs 2) and device support (4 vs 1). MoveMap's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AQeye sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and MoveMap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
AQeye holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AQeye has 38 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of AQeye's written reviews are positive against 83% of MoveMap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AQeye ships an update every 4 months, MoveMap every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
