# CUSTOM CAST vs EVA

The clearest difference is rating: EVA at 4.5 against CUSTOM CAST's 3.4. EVA also leads on review sentiment (79% vs 48%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). CUSTOM CAST's advantage is ratings volume (4K vs 25) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CUSTOM CAST sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and EVA sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EVA holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CUSTOM CAST has 4K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of CUSTOM CAST's written reviews are positive against 79% of EVA's.

CUSTOM CAST ships an update every 5 weeks, EVA every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
