# CUSTOM CAST vs HYPNOSISMIC

The clearest difference is rating: HYPNOSISMIC at 4.0 against CUSTOM CAST's 3.4. HYPNOSISMIC also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (63% vs 48%). CUSTOM CAST's advantage is ratings volume (4K vs 4) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CUSTOM CAST sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and HYPNOSISMIC sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HYPNOSISMIC holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CUSTOM CAST has 4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of CUSTOM CAST's written reviews are positive against 63% of HYPNOSISMIC's.

CUSTOM CAST ships an update every 5 weeks, HYPNOSISMIC every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
