# CUSTOM CAST vs Dubbing AI

The clearest difference is rating: CUSTOM CAST at 3.4 against Dubbing AI's 2.7. CUSTOM CAST also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (4K vs 12). Dubbing AI's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CUSTOM CAST sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Dubbing AI sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CUSTOM CAST holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CUSTOM CAST has 4K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of CUSTOM CAST's written reviews are positive against 25% of Dubbing AI's.

CUSTOM CAST ships an update every 5 weeks, Dubbing AI every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
