# Filter Stack vs Glitch X

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Filter Stack at 304 against Glitch X's 5. Filter Stack also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Glitch X's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 64%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Filter Stack sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Glitch X sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Filter Stack holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Filter Stack has 304 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Filter Stack's written reviews are positive against 80% of Glitch X's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Filter Stack ships an update fortnightly, Glitch X weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
