# Related Connect vs StorageUnlocked

The clearest difference is update cadence: Related Connect at every 6 weeks against StorageUnlocked's every 23 months. Related Connect also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 75) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). StorageUnlocked's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 15%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Related Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Related Connect has 1.7K ratings behind it against 75, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Related Connect's written reviews are positive against 31% of StorageUnlocked's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Related Connect ships an update every 6 weeks, StorageUnlocked every 23 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
