# CAP vs Lightning Distance

The clearest difference is rating: CAP at 4.8 against Lightning Distance's 4.0. CAP also leads on ratings volume (36 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Lightning Distance's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CAP holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CAP has 36 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CAP ships an update every 2 months, Lightning Distance weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
