# ChildPilot Parents vs vID

The clearest difference is rating: vID at 4.8 against ChildPilot Parents's 4.3. vID also leads on ratings volume (6.5K vs 21). ChildPilot Parents's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

vID holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: vID has 6.5K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of ChildPilot Parents's written reviews are positive against 85% of vID's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ChildPilot Parents ships an update weekly, vID every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
