# Solfa vs Maestro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Solfa at none against Maestro's 1. Solfa also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Maestro's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 49%). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maestro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Solfa asks for nothing beyond the download.

Solfa holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 806 and 283 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Solfa's written reviews are positive against 73% of Maestro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solfa ships an update every 3 weeks, Maestro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
