# Simple Blackboard vs WhiteSync

The clearest difference is ads: WhiteSync at none against Simple Blackboard's shown. WhiteSync also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Blackboard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and WhiteSync sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Blackboard ships an update every 9 months, WhiteSync every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
