# Amplenote vs Kanbann

The clearest difference is update cadence: Amplenote at weekly against Kanbann's monthly. Amplenote also leads on ratings volume (493 vs 12) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amplenote sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Kanbann sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Amplenote holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amplenote has 493 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Amplenote's written reviews are positive against 80% of Kanbann's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Amplenote ships an update weekly, Kanbann monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
