# Amplenote vs Routine

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Amplenote at 76% against Routine's 37%. Amplenote also leads on ratings volume (494 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.4 vs 17.0). Routine's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amplenote sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Routine asks for nothing beyond the download.

Routine holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amplenote has 494 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Amplenote's written reviews are positive against 37% of Routine's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
