# Amplenote vs DayOS

The clearest difference is rating: DayOS at 5.0 against Amplenote's 4.6. DayOS also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). Amplenote's advantage is ratings volume (494 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.4 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amplenote sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and DayOS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DayOS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amplenote has 494 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Amplenote ships an update weekly, DayOS every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
