# MyTrip Forecasts vs RoadCam

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MyTrip Forecasts at none against RoadCam's 4. MyTrip Forecasts also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 44%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). RoadCam's advantage is ratings volume (130 vs 8) and rating (4.2 vs 4.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RoadCam sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. MyTrip Forecasts asks for nothing beyond the download.

RoadCam holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RoadCam has 130 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of MyTrip Forecasts's written reviews are positive against 44% of RoadCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyTrip Forecasts ships an update every 2 months, RoadCam every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
