# Stōkt Climbing vs Beta Direct

The clearest difference is rating: Stōkt Climbing at 4.8 against Beta Direct's 4.0. Stōkt Climbing also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (977 vs 9). Beta Direct's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stōkt Climbing sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Beta Direct sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stōkt Climbing holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stōkt Climbing has 977 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.
