# Scale vs QA Farmer

The clearest difference is rating: QA Farmer at 5.0 against Scale's 4.1. QA Farmer also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Scale's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (14 vs 2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QA Farmer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Scale asks for nothing beyond the download.

QA Farmer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scale has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Scale ships an update every 3 months, QA Farmer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
