# Alpine CC vs Rentler

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rentler at every 3 weeks against Alpine CC's every 15 months. Rentler also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 3). Alpine CC's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alpine CC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rentler has 3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Alpine CC ships an update every 15 months, Rentler every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
