# SEIS Tracker vs Genasys Protect

The clearest difference is rating: SEIS Tracker at 3.0 against Genasys Protect's 2.6. Genasys Protect's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (81 vs 10). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SEIS Tracker holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Genasys Protect has 81 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of SEIS Tracker's written reviews are positive against 9% of Genasys Protect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SEIS Tracker ships an update every 3 months, Genasys Protect every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
