# MP3 Converter vs Converter

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Converter at none against MP3 Converter's 4. MP3 Converter's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (171 vs 24). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MP3 Converter sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Converter asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for MP3 Converter against 4.6 for Converter. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MP3 Converter has 171 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MP3 Converter ships an update fortnightly, Converter weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
