# ProSurf vs DKST Markdown Browser

The clearest difference is update cadence: DKST Markdown Browser at every 3 days against ProSurf's every 2 months. ProSurf's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ProSurf ships an update every 2 months, DKST Markdown Browser every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
