# MDC Solid Waste vs Home Luxury Scents

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Home Luxury Scents at 309 against MDC Solid Waste's 13. Home Luxury Scents also leads on review sentiment (27% vs 14%) and update cadence (every 18 months vs every 43 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MDC Solid Waste holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home Luxury Scents has 309 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of MDC Solid Waste's written reviews are positive against 27% of Home Luxury Scents's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MDC Solid Waste ships an update every 43 months, Home Luxury Scents every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
