# Dub.ly vs Yapit

The clearest difference is rating: Yapit at 4.6 against Dub.ly's 4.2. Yapit also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and ratings volume (17 vs 5). Dub.ly's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 60%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dub.ly sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Yapit sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Yapit holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Dub.ly's written reviews are positive against 60% of Yapit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dub.ly ships an update every 3 weeks, Yapit every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
