# Anime Wallpaper vs TapTap

The clearest difference is ads: TapTap at none against Anime Wallpaper's shown. TapTap also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 4 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). Anime Wallpaper's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 52%) and ratings volume (84K vs 10K). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anime Wallpaper sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and TapTap sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anime Wallpaper holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anime Wallpaper has 84K ratings behind it against 10K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of Anime Wallpaper's written reviews are positive against 52% of TapTap's.

Anime Wallpaper ships an update every 4 weeks, TapTap every 11 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
