# Jimmy's Egg vs CPL Rays Coffee

The clearest difference is rating: CPL Rays Coffee at 4.9 against Jimmy's Egg's 4.1. CPL Rays Coffee also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Jimmy's Egg's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 0%) and ratings volume (115 vs 23). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CPL Rays Coffee holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jimmy's Egg has 115 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Jimmy's Egg's written reviews are positive against 0% of CPL Rays Coffee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Jimmy's Egg ships an update every 3 months, CPL Rays Coffee every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
