# Thrive Specialized Training vs MiniBeast

The clearest difference is update cadence: MiniBeast at weekly against Thrive Specialized Training's every 8 months. MiniBeast also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (136 vs 33). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MiniBeast holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 33 and 136 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Thrive Specialized Training's written reviews are positive against 92% of MiniBeast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thrive Specialized Training ships an update every 8 months, MiniBeast weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
