# Merge Unicorn vs Horse Evolution

The clearest difference is ads: Merge Unicorn at none against Horse Evolution's shown. Merge Unicorn also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (77% vs 67%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Merge Unicorn sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Horse Evolution sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Merge Unicorn against 4.8 for Horse Evolution. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Merge Unicorn has 338 ratings behind it against 62, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of Merge Unicorn's written reviews are positive against 67% of Horse Evolution's.

Merge Unicorn ships an update every 2 days, Horse Evolution every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
