# Merge Unicorn vs Egg Evolution

The clearest difference is update cadence: Merge Unicorn at every 2 days against Egg Evolution's every 29 months. Merge Unicorn also leads on review sentiment (77% vs 50%) and ratings volume (338 vs 34). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Merge Unicorn sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Egg Evolution sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Merge Unicorn against 4.7 for Egg Evolution. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Merge Unicorn has 338 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of Merge Unicorn's written reviews are positive against 50% of Egg Evolution's.

Merge Unicorn ships an update every 2 days, Egg Evolution every 29 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
