# SimpleBackgrounds vs MOA

The clearest difference is device support: SimpleBackgrounds at 3 against MOA's 1. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimpleBackgrounds sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MOA sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SimpleBackgrounds ships an update every 4 weeks, MOA fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
