# Be Soft vs POSDevice

The clearest difference is update cadence: POSDevice at every 3 weeks against Be Soft's every 21 months. Be Soft's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Be Soft ships an update every 21 months, POSDevice every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
