# Dark Rem vs Documents

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dark Rem at 100% against Documents's 43%. Dark Rem also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 50 months). Documents's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.3) and ratings volume (286 vs 34). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dark Rem sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Documents sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Documents holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Documents has 286 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Dark Rem's written reviews are positive against 43% of Documents's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dark Rem ships an update every 2 months, Documents every 50 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
