# Task List To Do vs Check Mate EX

The clearest difference is rating: Task List To Do at 5.0 against Check Mate EX's 3.7. Task List To Do also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (27 vs 3). Check Mate EX's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Task List To Do sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Check Mate EX sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Task List To Do holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Task List To Do has 27 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Task List To Do's written reviews are positive against 100% of Check Mate EX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Task List To Do ships an update every 2 months, Check Mate EX monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
