# Boka vs 知書Nowbook

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Boka at 100% against 知書Nowbook's 50%. Boka also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). 知書Nowbook's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boka sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and 知書Nowbook sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Boka ships an update every 3 weeks, 知書Nowbook every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
