# Elyments vs Cipchat

The clearest difference is rating: Cipchat at 4.8 against Elyments's 4.0. Cipchat also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). Elyments's advantage is review sentiment (53% vs 20%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cipchat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elyments has 330 ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Elyments's written reviews are positive against 20% of Cipchat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Elyments ships an update every 3 weeks, Cipchat every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
