# River Comics vs MangaMori

The clearest difference is ads: River Comics at none against MangaMori's shown. River Comics also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). MangaMori's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. River Comics sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and MangaMori sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

River Comics ships an update every 2 weeks, MangaMori weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
